This pastel piece is in a private collection in Texas.
This is one of the many homeless dogs I have painted or drawn since 2006.
Soft pastel sticks are great for showing texture in an animal's fur.
I do love working with pastel pigments.
Remember to check your local dog and cat rescue when you're looking for a new pet.
Rescues make great pets.
