Buho de Oro
30"x22" transparent watercolor

I used this image for the invitation of my solo exhibit held in November.  It sold at the opening, along with the Koi Pond painting I posted last week.  Owls are always a fascination, and for me, particularly the barn owl.  Its "heart shaped" face and beautiful golden, spotted feathers are a sight... but not to be fooled by the beauty of this cunning raptor. This model posed for me when I visited a falconer and his birds at a Renaissance Festival. Though the painting is sold, limted edition giclee prints are available.
